Nefrolepis is a family of ferns of the Lomariopsis family, but in some classifications it is included in the Davallievs family. The name of the genus is derived from the Greek words nephros – “kidney” and lepis – “scales”, in the form of a blanket. There are about 30 species of herbaceous perennial plants, spread all over the world. Some species are used as potted plants and also as ampel plants.
The nephrolepics are sublime.
